2008-09: Redshirt the season ... had two third-place finishes in the two tournaments he wrestled unattached ... went 5-1 at the Hokie Open to begin the season ... pinned Duke's Dan Adamo in the first period before falling to Virginia Tech's Peter Yates ... he rebounded to win the final two matches to claim third place ... also went 5-1 at the Davidson Open ... had a pair of seven point wins to begin the tournament before defeating Duke's Mike Bell by major decision, 11-1.

High School: 2008 Florida State Champion while attending South Broward High School, wrestling for coach Allen Held... also finished fourth at Super 32 and eighth at senior nationals in 2008... attended Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale during the 2006-07 school year, finishing as the state runner-up... placed third at the  state meet in 2006 as a member of South Broward's team.
