Sophomore (2017-18): Competed in two matches in the Spartan Fall Invitational… Earned a 2-1 record at the ITA Regionals, defeating Elon’s Felipe Osses-Konig and Davidson’s Shamael Chaudhry… Earned three wins at the Elon Fall Invitational, defeating Alvaro Arce of James Madison, Gabriel Dias of Winthrop University and Ignacio Garrido of USC Upstate… Earned three doubles wins with Logan Blaser at the Elon Men’s Invitational, defeating teams from North Carolina A&T, Winthrop and NC Central… Earned a win when partnered with Logan Walker at the Spartan Fall Invitational, defeating Elon’s Kyle Frankel and Camilo Ponce.

Earned an 8-12 record in singles play during the spring and was 0-2 in doubles action … Earned three Southern Conference victories … Played at flights 3-5 during the year … Earned four wins in straight sets … Earned his first win of the season over Presbyterian (Jan. 28) at No. 4 … Earned SoCon wins over Rossouw Norval of Samford (Mar. 12), Gavin Stewart of The Citadel (Apr. 8) and Wofford’s Parks Schoen (Apr. 10) … Partnered with Logan Walker for two doubles matches.

Freshman (2016-17): Played in 18 singles matches in his rookie campaign… Earned an 8-10 record and went 2-4 in Southern Conference play… Competed at No. 4 – No. 6 flights… Defeated Ruben Vanoppen of Mercer (Mar. 26) and The Citadel's Jack Pyritz (Mar. 28)… Earned a three-set victory over Wofford's Julian Chousa (Apr. 21).

Prep: Daniel Hammarstedt joins UNCG Men's Tennis after competing in Sweden… Finished as a Regional finalist in 2014… Two-time runner up at the Swedish Nationals Club Championship (Boys U15, U18).

Personal: Hammarstedt is the son of Claes and Christina Hammarstedt of Stockholm, Sweden… Brother, Johan, plays basketball at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa... Majoring in International Business.
