Made 18 appearances with a 2-1 record in the circle… posted a 4.59 earned run average… made six appearances in SoCon play and logged her first career save against Chattanooga (5/1)… struck out 12 batters in 29 innings of work… struck out her first batter of the season against No. 25 NC State (2/13)… earned her first win of the season against NC Central (3/6)… threw a season and career-high six strikeouts against NC Central… finished her career with a 5.96 ERA and a 5-3 record… threw three combined shutouts in 56.1 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts..
2015 (Junior):
In her first season as a Spartan, she finished with a 3-2 record in 14 appearances and three starts ... threw 27.1 innings and had 12 strikeouts to finish the season ... threw two scoreless innings against Army (Feb. 6) in the season-opener ... picked up the win in relief against North Carolina A&T (March 3) after throwing four scoreless innings with four strikeouts ... earned the win against Ohio (March 4) ... tossed 1.2 scoreless innings against Elon (March 15) ... had three starts against Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 6), Loyola Marymount (March 7) and NC State (March 18) ... earned her third win in the series finale at Furman (May 3) and threw three innings allowing just one earned run.
2014 (Sophomore at Nebraska):
Bishop made four relief appearances and posted a 5.25 ERA in 4.0 innings … proved hard to hit as she allowed only one hit in 14 at bats, as opponents hit just .071 against her … Bishop's first action as a sophomore came when she threw a scoreless inning of relief against Sam Houston State on Feb. 16 … the next weekend Bishop allowed one run on four walks and zero hits in a relief outing against No. 14 Arizona … Bishop had to wait nearly a month before her next outing, a perfect inning of relief against Jackson State on March 14, when she recorded her lone strikeout of the season … Bishop's final appearance came on March 23 against No. 16 Minnesota, when she allowed seven runs (two earned) in 1.0 inning of work.
2013 (Freshman at Nebraska):
Although she saw limited action behind a pair of first-team all-region pitchers, Bishop made great strides in her development and produced impressive results when she did take the circle … Nebraska’s tallest pitcher, Bishop posted a 1.75 ERA in 8.0 innings in 2013, combining for one shutout while adding one save … She allowed an earned run in only one of her five appearances on the season, while ranking in a tie for eighth among all Big Ten pitchers in saves … Bishop tossed a perfect inning in her career debut against New Mexico on Feb. 10 in the final game of Nebraska’s season-opening tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. … She then threw a career-high 3.0 innings against Maryland back in her home state of California, earning a save after allowing only one hit and no runs against the Terrapins … the next day, Bishop came on in relief against No. 9 Oregon and struck out a career-high three batters, while allowing two runs in 2.0 innings … She faced another ranked team the next weekend, tossing 1.1 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief against the national champion Oklahoma Sooners … Her final appearance of the year came in game one of a March 20 doubleheader at North Dakota State, when she pitched two-thirds of an inning and did not allow an earned run.
High school
Bishop completed her prep career at Woodbridge High School in the spring of 2012 … As the team’s ace in 2012, Bishop led the Warriors to their first appearance in the CIF playoffs in several years, which included a first-round win over Aliso Niguel … she compiled an 11-10 record against talented competition, posting a 2.47 ERA in 150.1 innings … Bishop added one save, struck out 97 and walked only 39, as opponents owned just a .289 on-base percentage against her … Bishop also contributed to Woodbridge’s success offensively, batting .386 on the season with 11 doubles, two home runs, 11 walks, 17 runs scored and 32 RBIs in only 30 games … for her efforts, Bishop was selected to participate in the Orange County Coaches all-star game following her senior season … also experienced a wealth of success on the club level … was a part of Mark Campbell’s Victory USA 14-and-under team that won the 2009 ASA national championship, after finishing as the runner-up the previous season … in 2010, Bishop made the jump to the 18-and-under gold level with the So Cal Athletics, who won the inaugural Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship in a nationally-televised final on ESPN … in the summer of 2011, Bishop played for the Firecrackers-Snyder team out of Lakewood, Calif. … Bishop helped lead the Firecrackers to a third-place finish in a field of more than 300 teams at the Gold Triple Crown Colorado Sprinkler tournament in Denver … for her efforts on the club level, Bishop earned an invite to the Allister OnDeck 2010 Arizona Jamboree, an invitation-only event for elite high school softball prospects.
