SPARTAN G'S - UNCG DANCE TEAM
The Spartan G's dance team is a group of full-time UNCG students dedicated to performing throughout the volleyball and men's/women's basketball season as well as various special events during the academic year.
Members of the Spartan G's dance team must be full-time undergrad or graduate UNCG students (enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours) and in good academic standing with the University. College transfers, or incoming freshmen may try out with an acceptance letter from UNCG.
Tryouts are closing soon! All round 1 submission are due by Saturday, April 4th at 12pm. Included in Round 1 submission is all medical paperwork, tryout packet information sheet, headshot, and video submission. Find all tryout information HERE! After Round 1 submission (as long as everything is turned in/included), result emails will be sent by the latest April 5th at 5pm including details for Round 2, Final Auditions, April 11th and 12th. All 2026-27 UNCG Dance Team auditions are closed and no longer able to apply if not submitted by April 4th at 12pm.
Tryouts are held each spring and are open to all full-time UNCG students. Previous dance experience is recommended as the Spartan G's plan to start competing in coming years, so be sure to train in technique and multiple dance styles before auditions, especially pom, jazz, and hip-hop.
The Spartan G's will be hosting clinics each year in the fall and spring (possibly adding summer for 2026), stay tuned and follow our Instagram @uncgdanceteam for information on dates and times!
