Biography

Junior Season (2007)

Saw action in 24 games and started 14 during her junior season...recorded seven runs on 16 hits...tallied five doubles and two home runs...hit .340 with nine RBI...recorded two multi-hit games on the season...had a season-high six putouts against North Carolina State (4/12).

 

Sophomore Season (2006)

Redshirted due to injury

 

Freshman Season (2005)

Started 27 games and appeared in 41 contests during freshman season at UNCG...started 13 games at catcher, nine games at designated player and five games in right field...hit .173 (14-for-81) with six runs scored, four doubles and six RBI...went 1-for-3 with a double to pick up her first collegiate hit versus Delaware State (2/27/05)...was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the 12-5 win over Appalachian State (4/23/05)...also picked up two hits in a 4-2 win at ETSU (5/1/05).

 

High School: Was a three-year starter for Lassiter high school...named all-state and All-Cobb County Player of the Year...also honored as a scholar-athlete and Lassiter Most Valuable Player in 2003...she led her high school team to three consecutive state playoff appearances, including a fourth-place showing in 2003 ...was named an All-Cobb County catcher as a junior...also played three years of basketball for the Trojans.

 

Summer Ball: Played for the East Cobb Bullets for 13 seasons under her father Greg...the club finished seventh at the ASA Nationals in 2003 in Garland, TX, after finishing fourth in 2002 in Sioux Falls, SD...garnered the best catcher award in 2003 at the CAMFEST tournament.

 

Personal: Brandi Alaina Schnute...daughter of Greg and Marge Schnute...born November 13, 1985 in Hoover, AL...elementary education major...father played baseball for Florida State...brother Brock played football and baseball for the Air Force Academy...sister Kelly played softball for Florida State...sister Kim ran track for Auburn.
