Competed in the SoCon championship, UNCG’s only race of the cross-country season … Helped the Spartans finish fourth overall after completing the race in 27:34.00 (47th overall).
2019 (Junior)
Completed the adidas XC Challenge 6K in 19:23.8 (9.20) ... posted a 26:26.0 in the 8K while racing in the ECU Pirate XC Invitational.
2018 (Sophomore)
Kicked off the season with the Elon Opener 3.73 mile (8.31) running a 21:30.2.
2017 (Freshman)
Opened the year with a season-best time in the 6K of 21:07.00 at the Elon University Opener… Had a time of 22:21.70 in the 6,000 meters in the Adidas XC Challenge… Registered a 14:58 in the 4,200 meters at the Campbell Duals… Ran the 8,000 meters twice with times of 28:22.37 at the Pirate XC Invitational and 29:04.70 at the SoCon Championship… Ended the season with a 36:26.30 in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
High School
Attended William Amos Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina... earned three letters in cross country and four letters in track and field... was a two-time all-conference honoree... also garnered All-West Region honors for track... qualified twice for the indoor state championships and once for the outdoor state championships.

Son of Gerry and Lesley Hynes... has one sister, Kayleigh... mother ran track at Vaal University of Technology.
