Averaged a 72.93 on the season in 30 rounds of play…placed fourth at the Grandover Collegiate after achieving seven-under- par (209) over the three rounds for his top finish of the season…recorded his best game in the opening round of the Bearcat Invitational with a five-under-par (67)…finished fourth overall for the Spartans on the season.

2021-22 (Freshman)
Averaged 75.44 in nine rounds … He competed in the Phoenix Invitational where he shot a season-low 69 in the first round … Also ended the Phoenix Invitational with a final round 70 to help finish the tournament +5 and tied for 47th overall … Shot a first-round 72 at the Grandover Collegiate event … He was tied for 60th at the Grandover Collegiate … Finished tied for 15th at the Aggie Invitational highlighted by a final round 73.

Son on Dean and Jada Brown … His father, Dean, was a pitcher at UNCW and grandfather, Dean Sr. was an All-American fullback at Wake Forest … Grandfather, John played football at Western Carolina and cousin Nolan Brown, plays football for UNC Chapel Hill … His favorites include steak (food), “Moneyball” (movie), blue (color) … Favorite teams are the Atlanta Braves, Charlotte Hornets, and Carolina Panthers … Favorite athletes include Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Collin Morikawa … Chose UNCG because he liked it here and felt he could thrive here … hobby is golfing.

Brown, who attended Shelby (NC) High School, has won at least eight tournaments during his career including on the Tyga-Carolinas Golf Association, NJGA, WNC, and FootHills Tournaments. He has more than 30 career top 10 finishes. The 6 foot, 4 inch Brown has an average drive of 320 yards, a swing speed of 129 miles per hour and ball speed of 188 miles per hour. He was named as an All Southwestern Conference performer.
