Junior Season (2007)
Had a record-breaking first season at UNCG...saw action in 63 games and started 58...set a new single season record with 41 stolen bases breaking former Spartan Leigh Irwin’s nearly seven year old record...led the team with a .303 batting average...also led the team with 10 sacrifice hits, 57 overall hits and 31 runs...finished the season with four doubles, two triples and five RBI...had 15 multi-hit games on the season, including a season high four hits against Western Carolina (4/14)...had her best game of the season against Western Carolina by going 4-for-4 with three runs scored.
2006 at TCC: Started all 51 games for
Tallahassee Community College...finished the season with a .297 batting average...finished the year with 32 stolen bases, four doubles and four triples...knocked in 15 RBIs.
2005 at Ferrum: Led all of Division III with 1.2 stolen bases per game...named the inaugural Adidas Golden Shoe award recipient...helped the club to a USA South Athletic Conference tournament championship...finished freshman year with 50 stolen bases, setting a school record...was only caught once...named first team All-Conference...led the team in batting (.437), runs scored (40), hits (62), total bases (77), slugging (.542) and on-base percentage (.471).
High School: Three-year outfielder at Cave Spring High School...a two-time All-Region, All-State and All-Timesland selection...named District Player of the Year as a senior...led the team to the state playoffs three times...a member of the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game in 2004.
Personal: Mary Elizabeth Greenway...born January 28, 1986 in Roanoke, VA...daughter of Frank and Maribeth Greenway...majoring in business and accounting...also recruited by Radford, Jacksonville and Florida Gulf Coast...brother, Matt, plays football for Concord University.
