Kaitlin Ricklefs comes to UNCG in January of 2024 to begin her position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Ricklefs comes from Barton College, where she served the Bulldogs from 2017-2023 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. During her time in Wilson, N.C., she worked with football, men’s basketball, cheer and dance. In addition, she taught two classes at Barton, first-year seminar and exercise science, while serving as a Freshman Academic Advisor.
Prior to her stint with Bulldogs, Ricklefs served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League Independent Professional Baseball for the 2017 season.
Ricklefs also served as a graduate assistant for three years at the University of Bridgeport where she worked closely with the women's soccer, men's basketball, softball and women's lacrosse teams while assisting with the women's basketball and baseball programs. At Bridgeport, Ricklefs received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture.
The Webster City, Iowa native, received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Iowa State University. As a student, Ricklefs worked with the Cyclones' gymnastics, tennis and football teams in addition to Ames High School and the Iowa State Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic.
