Ran a personal best of 5:12.24 in the 1500m while competing at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting (3.22).

Competed at four different meets over the course of the indoor season.
2018 Outdoor (Freshman)
Started the spring season with 6:02.48 at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational… Had times of 5:27.65 in the 1,500-meter (49er Classic), 11:28.72 in the 3,000-meter (Fred Hardy Invitational) and 20:14.98 in the 5,000-meter (High Point VertKlasse).
2017-18 Indoor (Freshman)
Opened her track career with a time of 2:36.97 in the 800-meter at the UNCG Early Bird Duals… Had times of 11:50.45 in the 3,000-meter (JDL College Dual Meet Madness), 3:33.20 in the 1,000-meter (Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational) and 5:56.64 in the mile (UCS Invitational).
High School
Attended Tahoma Senior High School in Covington, Washington... a four-time letterwinner... named an all-league honoree all four years... competed in the Oregon vs. Washington Border Clash during freshman and sophomore seasons... holds the school freshman record in the 5,000 meters (18:38) and the three miles (18:39)... also holds school sophomore records in the 5,000 meters (18:19) and 3 miles (19:05)... school record holder in the 5,000 meters (18:19)... finished 15th in the state as a freshman and 8th overall as a sophomore.

Daughter of James and Heather Contreras... has one brother and sister, Jacob and Taylor... father played hockey at the University of Colorado... mother played basketball at New Mexico Junior College... brother Jacob competed in track at Western Oregon University.
