Outdoor Track 2022 (Senior)
Nicholas continued to focus on the 800m, running the event in five of the eight season races. At the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic he finished 7th overall with a time of 1:56.05 and ran his career best the next race. At the Aggie Classic, Nicholas ran 1:54.72 to beat his previous record from last season.

Indoor Track 2021-22 (Senior)
Nicholas Thoma had a strong season for his last indoor season at UNCG. He finished 6th in the 1000m with a personal best time of 2:34.45 at the Camel City Invitational. At the SoCon Indoor Championship, Thoma ran his indoor career best, crossing the line at 1:56.23 in the 800m.

Cross-Country 2021 (Senior)
Competed in all six meets this season … Ran a career best in the 6k Adidas XC Challenge with a time of 19:23.7 placing 48th … Ran a career best in the 8k Louisville Classic with a time of 25:06.1… Competed and ran a career best in the 10k NCAA Division I Southeast Region Cross Country Championships with a time of 32:26.5.

Outdoor Track 2021 (Junior)
Ran the 800 meters in three meets this spring with a fast time of 1 minute 55.53 seconds to take third place at the Catamount Classic ... Competed in the 1,500 in four meets with a best performance of 4:00.35 at the Aggie Invitational ... Placed 12th in the 1,500 at the SoCon Championships ... Finished 19th in the 5,000 meters at the SoCon Championships in 16:23.57.


Cross-Country 2020 (Junior)
Competed in the SoCon championship, UNCG’s only race of the cross-country season … Helped the Spartans finish fourth overall after completing the race in 18:54.08 (17th overall)

Indoor Track 2019-20 (Sophomore)
Opened the season with a 9:16.25 in the 3000m at the JDL College Kick-off Classic (12.7) ... ran the 400m in 54.85 during competition at the JDL Early Bird Invitational (12.8) ... registered a 3000m PR while taking first at the Mondo College Invitational (2.2), where he ran an 8:58.71 ... ran on the Spartan DMR team that ran a 10:27.52 at the Socon Indoor Championships (2.29) for fifth in the field.


Cross-Country 2019 (Sophomore)

Finished in 37th at the adidas XC Challenge (9.20), running the 6K in 19:25.3 ... set a personal best in the 8K after completing th eLouisville Classic in 25:45.7 (10.5).


Outdoor Track 2019 (Freshman)
3:32.47 in the 4x400m took third at the Wendy's Seahawk Invitational (3.9) ... 8:01.95 in the 4x800m was good for a runner-up finish Charlotte 49er Classic (3.15) ... completed the 800m in 1:57.36 and the 1500m in 4:05.95 while competing at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting (3.22-3.23) ... set a personal best in the 800m while taking seventh at the Fred Hardy Invitational (3.29) on a time of 1:56.57 ... came in fifth at the Aggie Invitational (4.12), while running the 1500m in a PR time of 4:04.32 ... competed in the SoCon Indoor Championship 4x400m (4.28) where the Spartans' 3:31.22 pace took fifth in the field.


Indoor Track 2018-19 (Freshman)

Opened the season in the mile, running a 4:37.98 at the Virginia Tech Invitational (1.11) ... ran a 1:57.68 800m at the SoCon Indoor Championships (2.23) ... helped the Spartans to a seventh place finish in the SoCon 4x400m, running in 3:30.27.


Cross-Country 2018 (Freshman)

Made collegiate debut at the Elon Opener (8.31) running 3.72 miles in 21:03.3.

High School

Lettered all four years in cross country and track at Whippany Park High School in Whippany, New Jersey … Assisted the Wildcats to section and NJAC Conference Championships for three years … Set a personal record of 16:39.5 at sectionals to finish in third place … Finished in fifth place in sectionals and eighth the previous season … Ran together with his brother Joe for the 4x400, 4x800 and distance medley relays … Placed third in the 4x800 at the NJSIAA Group 2 Championships and third at the NJSIAA Group 1 Championships ...
