Finished the season with a 4-13 overall singles record…in doubles, tallied out with a 9-10 overall record and 2-5 in the SoCon.
2021 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Led UNCG with nine singles victories this season, finishing 9-4 and playing singles in 13 of the Spartans' 14 matches ... Opened the season with six consecutive singles wins, including an impressive 7-6 (9-7), 4-6, 7-6 (7-3) victory over Western Carolina's Jacy Smith in The G's SoCon opener (2/27) ... Played No. 1 doubles in all 14 matches, going 5-9 with three different partners: Sophia Adams (4-7), Tayah Cross (1-0) and Emily Ory (0-2).
2019-20 (Freshman)
Turned in a team best record of 8-2 in doubles matches in the spring, going a perfect 5-0 when playing in the No. 2 pairing ... opened the season going 2-0 against UNCW (1.25), beating the Seahawks' No. 3 Gupta in straight sets, following a 6-1 win in doubles play ... strung together three straight doubles victories at the start of the season, pairing with Erika Barquero ... beat UNC Asheville's top pairing of Morkel and Dickson by a final of 6-4 (1.26) ... added another 6-1 victory in doubles against Charlotte's No. 1 (2.1) ... finished the spring on a five match win streak in doubles play, defeating Coastal Carolina 6-2 (2.22), Gardner-Webb 6-2 (2.27), Western Carolina 6-2 (2.29), Rollins 6-4 (3.4) and NC Central 6-2 (3.10) ... all five of those matches came in the No. 2 pairing alongside Sophia Adams.
Prior to UNCG
Giddings competed at Cambridge High School in Milton, Ga., where she was a four-year letter winner under the Bear’s head coach Jennifer Schultz ... went 42-1 in singles play during her three-year tennis career at Cambridge High and She lost seven sets during her career and didn’t lose any during her sophomore season, going 20-0 ... earned the Freshman Bear Leadership award, as well as earning team Most Valuable Player honors in her first three seasons.
The Cambridge High tennis program has experienced a run of success with Giddings on the court ... led the Bears to a 5A State Championship as a freshman, and a 6A state semi-finalist as a sophomore ... her junior season saw Cambridge win the 6A state championship, along with being named the 6A region runner up and her team won 6A and 5A Region Champions in 2015 and 2017, respectively ... was an academic scholar athlete during her first three seasons, served as a new student liaison, and was part of the FCA national charity league.
She competed for Universal Tennis Academy during her club career under coach Stewart Russell and competed at the USTA Junior Team Tennis where she was a National Champion in 2017.
Personal: Giddings the daughter of Pam and Derek Giddings and has a younger sister, Claire. She plans to major in kinesiology.
