High School: Wrestled his first three years at King Philip Regional High School before moving to Wyoming Seminary, where he wrestled two years for coach John Gordon … won the 215 pound title at the National Prep School Championships his final year at Wyoming Seminary, pinning all of his opponents … he also finished in fourth place at the FloNationals after his final season … came in fourth place at Prep Nationals and finished in seventh at the Walsh Ironman his first year at Wyoming Seminary … was a Massachusetts D-2 state champion as a sophomore and junior … came in second place at the New England Wrestling Championships his sophomore season … also a state qualifier as a freshman … was involved in student government all three years at King Philip.
