2008-09: Was the starter at 125 pounds during his junior campaign ... had a record of 16-9 on the year, including 4-1 in Southern Conference bouts ... finished third at the 2009 SoCon Championships after narrowly dropping his first round match ... had a nine-match winning streak from the beginning of January to February ... four of his five pins during the season were recorded in the first period ... went 2-2 at the Southern Scuffle with wins over Troy Opfer (Kent State) and Ian Moser (Bloomsburg) ... scored back-to-back major decisions over VMI'S Jonathan Pope and Virginia's Wyatt Anderson in January.
2007-08: Wrestled at 125 lbs. and posted a 12-17 overall record... was 2-3 in Southern Conference matches, 9-9 in dual matches and 3-8 in tournaments... recorded five falls and six decisions... quickest fall was 1:06 over North Carolina State's Taylor Cummings at the Southern Scuffle... also had falls against New Mexico Highland's Daniel Perales (2:00, Cliff Keen Invitational), Virginia's Ross Gitomer (5:43) and Gardner-Webb's Tommy Bennett (4:48)... defeated Cummings for the third time of the season with a 2:57 fall in the dual match with the Wolfpack... among the six decisions were a pair of overtime victories... came away with the 6-4 overtime win over George Mason's Brian Wright and then followed that up with a 13-11 overtime victory over Liberty's Sean Katz.
2006-07: Finished second at 133 lbs. at the Mat Jam/SoCon Tournament, defeating Davidson's Chris Panfili (9-3) and VMI's Tyler Anthony (6-4 in overtime) before falling to Matt Keller of Chattanooga... finished the season with a 10-15 overall record... recorded a 2-2 conference record and was 5-8 in duals... won a 10-0 major decision over Chris Thuman of Duke.
High School: Earned four letters at Scotland High School under coach Joel McCanna... 2006 4A North Carolina State Champion... two-time Mid-Southeastern Conference champion and two-time East Region champion... earned two all-state honors... finished career as school record-holder for most career wins (140) and most wins in a season (53).
