2008-09: Went 2-9 on the year while seeing some time as the starter at 197 pounds ... went 2-1 at the Davidson Open to finish runner-up ... defeated Anderson's Zach Anderson and Limestone's Waholi Revels to advance to the finals where he narrowly lost, 6-5, to Glenn Holmes ... also competed at the NC State Open, Navy Classic and Southern Scuffle.

2007-08: Redshirted.

High School: 2007 graduate of Winter Park High School in Winter Park, FL... four-time letterwinner for the Wildcats wrestling at both 171 and 215 lbs. ... named MVP 2005-07... finished third at the state tournament... also a four-year letter winner in football as a defensive tackle.

Personal: Peter Donald Sturgeon... born August 4, 1988 in Bangor, ME... son of Jeff and Patty Sturgeon... two brothers Patrick and Matthew... majoring in finance at UNCG.
