Ashlee Magosin joined UNC Greensboro in July 2022 as senior associate athletic director of business/chief financial officer and currently oversees business operations, equipment, information technology, and licensing for the University. With nearly two decades of intercollegiate experience at six Division I programs, she has a strong track record of fiscal responsibility, streamlining operations, and leading with authenticity. Magosin’s professional goal is to leave things better than she found them and she focuses on balancing empathy and accountability while bringing a sense of levity to internal operations.

Magosin came to the Spartans from LEONA, a leading consulting firm in college athletics, where she was vice president handling internal operations and client projects. She formalized the firm’s internal operations for continued growth, built out its customer relationship and project management system, and supported clients on business operations and revenue generating strategies.

Her previous senior leadership positions include time at the Air Force Academy Athletics Corporation (AFAAC) and Providence College. As AFAAC’s chief financial officer, Magosin oversaw a multi-million non-profit budget and provided strategic leadership and operational oversight of financial operations, human resources, in-house concessions, and grant management as well as licensing support. Prior to her time with the Falcons, Magosin served as associate athletic director for business at Providence, managing the athletics budget and business operations as well as licensing initiatives and special projects. Her favorite “other duty as assigned” so far was tournament manager for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Rounds 1 and 2 hosted by the Friars. Magosin also had stops in the business offices at the University of Maryland, Duke University and Wagner College where she started her career as the administrative assistant for athletics.

Magosin is active in College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and Women Leaders in College Sports and enjoys supporting colleagues across the industry to create more opportunities to connect, develop individually, and improve organizations. She has been an integral part of CABMA’s Mentor Me program since joining as a mentor in 2019 and currently serves as a Lead, a role she’s held since 2020. Magosin was also named the 2020 CABMA Emerging Leader of the Year and is a two-time finalist for CABMA Business Manager of the Year (2023 and 2024).

A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, Magosin is a 2005 graduate of Penn State University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wagner College. She resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with her Shih Tzu Yorkie, BFF.
