After working as an assistant in the UNCG Student-Athlete Support Services (SAAS) since January 2025, Erin Bengston has been elevated to Learning Specialist/Academic Coordinator for UNCG SAAS in July 2025.
Bengston has spent the last five months becoming an expert on UNCG’s Progress Toward Degree planning, encouraging success in student-athletes, planning a professional development workshop and other daily tasks to learn all the facets of the SAAS office.
Prior to UNCG, Bengston worked as an Inclusion Paraprofessional at Mansfield High School and coordinated the education of 27 students. While working as a Paraprofessional, Bengston graduated with her Master’s of Arts in Sports Leadership from North Central College in 2024, where she completed a capstone project that focused on student-athlete mental health.
Bengston achieved her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of Holly Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 2022. As a Crusader, Bengston was a catcher for the softball team, where she holds the single season record in doubles (16) and walks recorded (29).
