Jennifer Aguilar was named the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations in June 2020, joining the UNCG staff September 2003 as the Assistant Director for Facilities and Game Operations.
As the Senior Associate Athletic Director, she added human resources and Title IX to her job responsibilities. Starting July 2014, Aguilar was named the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Game Operations, and Capital Projects.
She has direct and budget oversight of all athletic facilities, events, and capital projects, while also is responsible for generating revenue by hosting non-UNCG athletic events from cultivation to execution. Aguilar has completed multiple renovation projects to game facilities, practice facilities, locker rooms, the academic suite, and the equipment room.
From July 2007-2014, Aguilar was the Assistant Director for Facilities and Event Operations at UNCG supervising over 30 employees and ensuring all events met NCAA and Southern Conference policies.
Aguilar started as the Assistant Director for Facilities and Game Operations in 2003 and added Interim Assistant Softball Coach to her resume in 2005.
Aguilar has been a tournament director for a multitude of events, including most recently the 2018 Southern Conference Softball Championship as well as the 2013, 2014, and 2016 seasons. She also worked the 2014 ACC Women’s Soccer Championship and Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Aguilar graduated from UNCG in 2007, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. She played softball for UNCG from 2001-03 and prior to being a Spartan, she transferred from Cal State Hayward where she played softball from 1998-00.
She is a member of CEFMA and Women Leaders of College Sports.
