Laura Mazziotta was promoted to Director of Facilities and Game Operations in July 2023 after joined the Spartans as an Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations in November of 2021.
Her primary job responsibilities include facility upkeep and primary game operations for women’s basketball, softball, and women’s soccer along with other responsibilities within the Spartan athletic department.
Mazziotta previously worked as the Director of Softball Operations at Campbell University. She oversaw travel, equipment, budget management, and other logistics to manage the team operations. The Camels finished the 2021 spring season as the Big South Regular Season and Tournament Champions while earning a win in the NCAA Tournament at the Stillwater, Okla. regional.
While working at Campbell University, she also worked part-time with the event management team at UNC-Chapel Hill to help with football, soccer, field hockey, women’s basketball, and baseball games.
She previously lived in Greensboro when she worked for the Atlantic Coast Conference as the Championship Intern from 2018-19. With the ACC, she assisted with the planning of 24 Olympic sport championships by overseeing both VIP and student-athlete hospitality, preparing credentials and championship materials.
A native of Bethesda, Md., Mazziotta was a member of the Boston College women’s rowing team for four years and was named co-caption her senior year. She served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, was selected to the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, and worked as an administrative assistant with the athletic development office over her four years at Boston College.
Mazziotta graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Environmental Studies.
