Maria Taylor comes to UNCG in August of 2026 to begin her position as Assistant Athletic Trainer. She will serve as the athletic trainer for the UNCG softball and volleyball programs.
Taylor comes to Greensboro by way of Barton College, where she was an assistant athletic trainer from 2022-2024 working with women's volleyball and baseball teams. In the fall of 2024 she was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer.
Before Barton, Taylor served as an assistant athletic trainer at Bluefield State University, where she worked with their football, men's basketball and softball teams.
Taylor comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Public Health degree from Slippery Rock University.
In her free time Taylor likes to bake sour dough bread, try a new restaurant and relax with her cat Chico.
