Charleston, SC – The UNC Greensboro volleyball was swept by College of Charleston, 3-0, Saturday night in the John Keese Arena. The win gives the Tigers an 11-5 overall record and a 4-2 record in the Southern Conference. UNCG falls to 2-17 on the year and 0-7 in the Southern Conference.

The College of Charleston had 20 kills in the first game and held UNC Greensboro to just eight as the Cougars won 30-18. The Spartans regrouped in the next two games, but it was not enough with the Cougars coming away with 34 kills to the Spartans' 19 to take the 30-20 and 30-19 victories.

LaJean Morrow led the Spartan effort with eight kills. Kim Dayton and Claire Jackson had ten digs to lead UNC Greensboro on the defensive end. Alisa Long tallied 18 kills to lead the Cougars and Stephanie Ballard added 14.

UNCG travels up the road to take on The Citadel at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
