UNCG-Wofford Box Score

Spartanburg, SC – The UNC Greensboro volleyball team fell to Wofford, 3-0, Tuesday evening at the Benjamin Johnson Arena. Wofford took the three games by scores of 30-20, 30-23 and 30-21 in a rematch from a Sept. 28 contest in Greensboro, NC.

The Spartans were led by LaJean Morrow, who finished with seven kills and 32 total attacks, while Kim Dayton posted a team-high eight kills with 17 total attacks and a team-high 8.5 points. The two Spartan seniors managed to keep the Spartans close throughout the entire match with their stellar play both offensively and defensively.

Katie Laser posted a team-best 23 kills on 41 attacks to lead Wofford in the victory. Angela Berry chipped in with nine kills and four service aces, while Lindsay Lyman recorded 10 defensive digs.

With the victory, Wofford improves to 8-18 overall and 4-10 in Southern Conference play.  UNC Greensboro drops to 7-20, 3-11 SoCon.

The Spartans will return to Fleming Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday, as UNCG faces both Appalachian State and Western Carolina.
