UNITY was formed by the marketing arm of the UNCG athletic department during the 2009-10 season to create support among the 17 Division I athletic teams at UNCG by the student-athletes themselves.

Teams earn points for attending specific home athletic events during the year. Each team receives a point for their game that they are playing in on a UNITY date.

Teams must check in with the UNCG Athletics staff member at the designated UNITY check-in table.  For men's basketball games at the Greensboro Coliseum, teams must check-in at the UNCG Ticket Pass List table that will be located in the walkway coming from the Special Events Center or at the Coliseum Main Ticket windows.

The winning team will receive the opportunity to design next year's UNITY t-shirt and the team will have dinner with Director of Athletics Kim Record at the restaurant of their choice.
