GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women's soccer team suffered its second loss to a nationally ranked opponent as the Spartans dropped a 2-0 decision at No. 10 Virginia Tech Friday night at Thompson Field. The Spartans return home Sunday night to begin a stretch where they will play six of their next seven games at the UNCG Soccer Stadium beginning with East Carolina.

Buehler was able to keep the Hokies at bay for most of the second half as well until Virginia Tech took a 2-0 lead in the 80th minute of play. The Hokies converted off a corner kick as Murielle Tiernan scored her fifth of the season and her 31st goal of her career as a junior.
