GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro volleyball (9-16, 3-7 SoCon) on Friday dropped its first match of a weekend road swing, falling to Wofford 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 21-25) at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. 

Three Things To Know
-- Freshman Gabriela McHugh posted a double-double, leading the Spartans in both assists (24) and digs (11). 

-- Junior Maria Esch was the only Spartan to reach the double-digit mark in kills with 12.

-- Senior Lauren Robeck and freshmen Hannah Knier and Grey Breen recorded blocks.

The Spartans will close out the weekend's action facing The Citadel tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Charleston, S.C. 

The 2019 season is a special one for the program, as UNCG volleyball is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The program hosted a special celebration during the weekend of Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19. The weekend included a program history celebration luncheon and recognition of several distinguished alumni from the program's past.
