GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG men's soccer continues its success in the offseason this week, signing Akron transfer Mani Austmann to the Spartans' 2020 squad this past Monday. Austmann comes to campus after appearing as a regular starter for the Zips during the 2019 campaign, and brings experience from play at the top tier of the Icelandic soccer system.
"Mani is a great addition to the UNCG family," said Head Coach
Chris Rich. "He comes in with significant experience after spending a season at Akron, and with over 20 national team caps for Iceland. We love his versatility as he has the ability to play in any attacking position, and is a player that fits our style of play. We expect him to make an immediate impact here in Greensboro."
