Game Notes UNCG / North Carolina A&T

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team will take its shortest road trip of the season when it makes the 2.5 mile trek across town to meet rival North Carolina A&T Tuesday night in the facility affectionately known as "Club Corbett."

The Spartans are sprinting into this year's version of the "Battle of the 'Boro" with plenty of momentum courtesy of a three-game winning streak. In their last game, they rallied from an 11-point second half deficit to beat Elon.

Throw records out of the window when these two programs clash.

This is for city bragging rights, one the Spartans have claimed with three consecutive triumphs, including last year's 83-50 victory at the Greensboro Coliseum. Even without the usual overflow crowd swag surfing, cheering, and stomping their feet, this contest will be played with March-level intensity.

Of course, the bigger subplot to this matchup is the battle of the brothers.

You see, the Langley's are the basketball version of the Royal Family. Sophomore twins Keyshaun and Kobe wear the blue-and-gold of UNCG. Their brother, gifted senior Kameron, sports the same colors but wears the North Carolina A&T uniform.

So it will be fun opportunity for the brothers to engage in some spirited competition before coming together and celebrating the holidays together.

"I look forward to playing against my brother," Keyshaun said following Saturday's 71-64 win over Elon. "Just having a battle against him and the rest of the squad is going to be really fun and good."

Keyshaun is coming off of a memorable performance in which he scored a career-high 21 points to fuel UNCG's 71-64 victory over Elon last Saturday. In his last three halves, Keyshaun has tallied 30 points and has found a comfortable shooting groove. Kobe also had a major impact on the victory with his fierce defense, solid decision-making, and energy.

Meanwhile, Kameron has missed the last two games for the Aggies and his status for Tuesday's game in uncertain. He is North Carolina A&T's leading scorer at 10.4 points per contest.

In A&T's setback to Charlotte, Quentin Jones had a team-high 19 points on 6-for-11 shooting, including a scorching 6-for-8 from 3-point range. Jones has led the Aggies in scoring over the past three games. Junior guard Blake Harris was the other Aggie to join him in double-figures with 15.
