Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

UNCG Winning Streak Ends At ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.  – A big second half from the Bucs ended UNCG men's basketball's bid at a sixth straight win, with ETSU defeating the Spartans 82-65 on Saturday. UNCG's loss is just its third on the road this year, dropping the team's SoCon record to 7-3 on the year. Isaiah Miller led the visiting side with 18 points, while freshman Keyshaun Langley tallied 14 points on the evening.

The Spartans got off to a hot start offensively, knocking down eight of their first nine shot attempts on the night to jump out to a 19-5 lead in the opening six minutes. UNCG led by as much as 23-10 before the home team responded with a 15-2 run to tie things at 25 all. The Spartans took back their lead, but would once again see the Bucs come back to tie things at 37-37 before the halftime break.

Junior guard Isaiah Miller hit 5-of-7 from the floor to pour in 11 points in the first half alone, with senior Kyrin Galloway registering eight points and a pair of threes. Coming into the game with 960 career boards, James Dickey sat just two rebounds away from moving into second in UNCG career history. The senior pulled down six in the opening 20 minutes to surpass Spartan alum Ben Stywall (2007-10) in the program record book.

UNCG's Keyshaun Langley would score nine points in the final 20 minutes to tie a career-high of 14 on the night, but the freshman's efforts wouldn't be enough in an 82-65 final in favor of the Bucs. ETSU outscored the Spartans 45-28 in the second half despite Langley's efforts, with UNCG taking just its third loss in SoCon play this season.
