Series History
-- The Spartans lead their series against Samford 16-10 after defeating the side 70-63 in Birmingham on January 25th
-- A Spartan win would be UNCG's eighth straight against the Bulldogs, and complete the regular season sweep against the program

Five Facts To Know
-- The Spartans' current class of seniors set a program record last time they faced Samford, tallying their 97th win over four years at UNCG. James Dickey, Kyrin Galloway and Malik Massey are the winningest class in Spartan history, and are now in search of their 100th
-- UNCG's plus-7.2 turnover margin is the top mark in the nation, a full point ahead of any other team in Division I
-- With 11 home wins the Spartans currently sit five away from tying a program record for home wins set in the 2017-18 campaign, where they finished 16-1 at Greensboro, were unified SoCon champions and faced Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament.
-- The Spartans are 13-1 when keeping opponents under 45% shooting, and are averaging 60.7 points allowed per game (10th in D1) and 9.9 steals per game (5th in D1)
-- Freshman Keyshaun Langley set a new career-high on Saturday, scoring 17 points against the Citadel

The Bulldogs
-- Samford is one of the best rebounding teams in the country, with their combined 913 boards ranking 37th in Division I basketball, and first in the Southern Conference
-- Despite Josh Sharkey ranking sixth in the country with 7.4 assists per game, the Bulldogs are dead last in the conference in the category (11.4)
-- Sharkey ranks just behind Miller in the SoCon, scoring 18.1 points per game. He also ranks third in the country with 2.82 steals per contest

Coming Up Next
UNCG completes its three-game home stand against Western Carolina on Wednesday. The Spartans are 24-32 against the Catamounts all-time, but will be looking for their ninth straight win against the side, after defeating the Catamounts 72-58 earlier in the year.
