Game Notes UNCG / The Citadel

GREENSBORO, N.C. – There's no rest for the weary as the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team returns home to host The Citadel in a Southern Conference showdown.

The Citadel leads the SoCon in scoring offense (93.3), scoring margin (+17.1), assists (18.8), and blocked shots (4.9). The Citadel enters the game fresh off of a 103-point performance in a seven-point road setback at Virginia Military Institute on Saturday.

This will be the Spartans third game in five days against a team called the Bulldogs.

This game between The Citadel and UNCG was moved from the originally scheduled Feb. 3 home game. Instead, the Spartans will visit Charleston on Feb. 3 to make up the game that was postponed on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

The Spartans will be trying to find the right formula for winning home conference games. UNCG is 0-2 in SoCon home games and 3-0 in conference road contests. In fairness to UNCG, it played the top two scoring defense teams in the SoCon in East Tennessee State (first) and Wofford (second) in its first two home conference games.
