UNCG / VMI |
GREENSBORO, N.C. – It seems like each team the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball has played lately has a high-powered offense with glitzy numbers.
Virginia Military Institute is no different.
The Keydets come to town with the third-ranked scoring offense (81.7 points), best free-throw shooting squad (79.8 percent), and Greg Parham, the reigning two-time Southern Conference Player of the Week, the second-leading scorer in the conference.
In the ultimate alphabet special, UNCG hosts VMI in an important contest that promises to crackle with electricity. Both teams enter the contest off huge wins on Wednesday night. UNCG won its fifth straight contest by meeting Mercer, 81-68. VMI thumped Western Carolina, 87-61. The Keydets have won two of their last three games, including a win over Furman.
As usual, UNCG will have it hands full trying to slow down the Keydets.
