ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- UNCG lead the Southern Conference in six statistical categories: hitting percentage (.229), opponent hitting percentage (.159), assists (12.29), kills (13.64), blocks (2.26), and digs (17.92).
- Kayla White is ranked in the top 25 nationally in five categories: fourth in total attacks (1,025), seventh in points (414.0), 13th in total kills (353), and 22nd in attacks per set (11.78).
- Gabriela McHugh is still leading the nation in total assists on the season with 932. The junior moved up in the UNCG record books taking over the fifth-place spot (rally scoring) and the seventh-place spot (all-time) for career assists.
- Hannah Knier is moving up nationally in total blocks. The middle blocker is currently 36th with 94 total blocks.
- As a team, the Spartans are in fourth place with 1,559 total digs. UNCG is only 113 behind first place Arkansas State.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Mercer is coming off a 3-0 sweep of The Citadel on Saturday. Middle's Jaida Howell and Rayanne de Oliveira led the Bears with 12 and 10 kills, respectively.
- Setter Agnieska Paskevic continues to be the Bears primary setter, dishing out 32 assists against the Bulldogs.
- Senior Annie Karle had a season high 21 digs in the match.
- Taylor Lynch leads the Bears with 183 kills on the season. De Oliveira follows with 182.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- Samford is coming off a 3-1 loss against Wofford on Saturday. Lauren Deaton, Gracie Lynn Butler, and Sarah Hayes Farley each had 10+ kills in the match. Deaton and Butler led with 14.
- Kayla Keshock dished out 38 assists in the match.
- Andie Salasky, Deaton, and Farley dug 10+ balls, Salasky led with 15 while Deaton and Farley followed with 11.
- Four Bulldogs had at least one service aces in the match. Salasky and Keshock led with three each. Emily Naubert and Deaton had one.
PINK GAME
On Friday, October 15, the Spartans hosted The Citadel and sported bright pink ribbons and recognized and remembered those who have passed, are currently battling, and who are in remission from cancer.
