VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team competed on day one of the Evie Odom Invitational, hosted by Old Dominion University on Sunday.
 
The Spartans are 27-over after shooting 307.

Highlights

• Graduate student Tara Bettle led the Spartans finishing four-over 74 with three birdies sitting tied for 35^th overall.  Following her first nine, she was one-over.
• Sophomore Victoria Cook is tied for 50^th shooting six-over 76, also with three birdies.
• Junior Anna Bowman shot eight-over 78 in the first round of the tournament. She is currently tied for 58^th.
• Senior Hailey Joy and freshman Grace Holcomb are tied for 60^th shooting nine-over 79.
• Holcomb tallied two birdies on the day on holes 13 and 16, while Joy recorded one on the 359-yard hole 13.
