Quartet Sign on #NSD21 to Women’s Soccer

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's soccer completes another successful signing day in 2021, with Ava Kiss, Emma Malone, Sophie Joly, Charlotte Sobotka all committing to play for the Spartans in the fall of next season.
All four reign from across North America, as Kiss is from Nevada, Malone hails from Connecticut, Joly comes from Canada, and Sobotka from Michigan.

"Ava, Emma, Sophie and Charlotte are wonderful additions to our program and they are excited to be Spartans and help us get back to competing for a SoCon championship," stated head coach Michael Coll. "Each of them has learned and grew within strong soccer cultures at their top level clubs and we expect these four players to fit into our program successfully right away."

Midfielder | West Career and Technical Academy | Las Vegas, Nevada 
• Played club for the Albion SC Las Vegas

Emma Malone
Goalkeeper | Mark T. Sheehan HS | Wallingford, Conn.
• Played for three years with Oakwood Girls Academy.
• Attended GA Playoffs in California in 2021 with club team.
• Has played futsal for Brazil CT for six years
• In National Honor Society and made the Honor Roll freshman and sophomore years, High Honor Roll junior year.

Emma Malone

Sophie Joly

Defense |Garth Webb Secondary School | Oakville, Ontario, Canada
• Played club for Burlington Bayhawks for two years.
• Helped club team to 2021 Ontario Women's Soccer League U21 Provincial Champions.
• Earned 2019 Rookie of the Year award and was named captain for women's soccer and women's field hockey teams.

Charlotte Sobotka

Forward/Midfield | Troy HS | Troy, Michigan
• Played club for Liverpool F.C. for three years
• Earned All-League, All-District, All-Region, and All-State honors.
• Helped high school to two district championships and two regional championships.
