GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at its Grandover Fall Classic on Tuesday to conclude its fall schedule.
The Spartans shot 311 as a team on the final round, combining for 942 (+78) over the three rounds.

How It Happened: Round Three
- Graduate student Tara Bettle led the Spartans shooting 71 (-1), her best round of the tournament.
- Bettle tied for third overall, six strokes behind the leader from ETSU, and finished with eight birdies, three during the third round.
- Freshman Ava Romfo was the next Blue & Gold on the leaderboard matching her score from round one of 79 (+7) and finishing 17th.
- She started out the round with a birdie on the 385-yard hole five and concluded the classic with seven birdies.
- Freshman Grace Holcomb dropped two spots in the final round tying for 32nd after shooting 80 (+8) in the third round.
- Holcomb birdied on the first and eighth holes, totaling five in the three rounds.
- Freshmen Gabriela Cruz and Amanda Gerrish tied for 54th.
- Sophomore Victoria Cook and Senior Hailey Joy tied for 58th.
- Cook golfed her best round of the tournament shooting 81 (+9), with a birdie on the 460-yard hole 18.
