UNC Greensboro men's golf alum Jonathan Brightwell finished tied for second in the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament Monday.
 
Brightwell finished one stroke off the pace after carding a six-under 65 in the final round. He was under 70 in three of the four rounds. Brightwell led the event at the halfway mark of the tournament. He finished with a total score of 269.
 
With the finish, Brightwell earned 12 guaranteed starts on the PGA Korn Ferry Tour. He will earn a PGA card if he finishes among the top 25 money list during the 2022. Brightwell is the third Spartan to accomplish this joining Andy Bare and Nathan Stamey.
 
"I am personally so happy for JB," UNC Greensboro head men's golf coach Terrance Stewart said. "He worked his tail off to get to this point and this is only the beginning. He is a Spartan and we are all so proud of him."
