STATESBORO, GA –  UNCG women's golf took an early jump to the top of the leaderboard after one round of play and finished in 2nd with 311 (+23). Unfortunately, the sunset put a halt on play in Georgia this evening leaving four holes to finish in the second round that is set to resume at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Tara Bettle (T5) leads the team currently at +7 through 30 holes played, followed by Hailey Joy (T9) +9, Sara Rydman (T21) +12, Anna Bowman (T32) +14, Victoria Cook (T50) +18.

A few Spartans lead in individual categories as Bettle's 24 pars are an event best at the moment while Joy and Cook lead the event in birdies with five a piece.

Head coach Ashley Leonard and her Spartans will look to keep their place atop the leaderboard when they finish play on Monday.
