GREENSBORO -- UNCG will play its only non-conference volleyball match of the season when the Spartans host Elon at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fleming Gym.

Senior outside hitter Maria Esch leads UNCG (2-10 overall, 2-10 Southern Conference) with 158 kills and 145 digs, for averages of 3.22 and 2.96 per set.

Freshman setter Haven McPeek had 40 assists in the Spartans' last two-match series against Wofford. Sophomore hitters Hannah Knier and Grey Breen lead The G with 34 and 32 blocks respectively.

Leah Daniel, a 6-foot-1 junior hitter, averages 3.76 kills per set for Elon (2-3 overall, 2-2 Colonial Athletic Association). Kodi Garcia and Haylie Clark have combined for 199 assists.

UNCG leads the all-time series 36-20, but Elon has won three in a row.

The Spartans return to SoCon play Sunday and Monday on the road at The Citadel. Both matches will begin at 5 p.m.
