WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Spartans' match in Wilmington went unfinished this Saturday as UNCG men's tennis took a 4-0 loss while hosting No. 49 UNCW. UNCG's matchup with the Seahawks is the first of a two-match homestand, with the Spartans hosting Coastal Carolina this next Friday.

The Seahawks claimed the doubles point with back-to-back wins on courts two and three. Alexander Zuckerman and Christopher Johns forced a tie breaker as the No. 2 pairing but fell 7-4 in that extra frame. Nico Grewe and Ollie Palmer's match on court one went unfinished with the first point already being decided. 

UNCW took the win on three straight singles victories on courts three, six and five. All three finals came in straight sets. 

Ollie Palmer dropped set one against UNCW's No. 1, 6-4, but was fighting back in set two before the match was ended without a final score. Palmer and Bruno Caula were preparing for a 12th game in set two but play was suspended due to UNCW's fourth point coming across.

The Spartans will close out their two-match homestand on April 2nd against Coastal Carolina. First serve is currently scheduled for 2 p.m. at UNCG Tennis Courts.
