MATCHUP HISTORY

• ETSU is on a five-match win streak against UNCG since joining the Southern Conference before the 2014-15 season. The pair have not played since 2019, when the Bucs scored a 5-2 win in Johnson City
THE SPARTANS
• Senior Brianna Gomez earned SoCon Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors this past Monday after earning back-to-back wins in singles play. Gomez took down Furman's No. 77 Julia Brown in No. 2 singles in straight sets last Friday, before beating UNCW's No. 2 in three frames just two days later
• Gomez and Hanna Giddings are tied for a team-high six singles wins in 2021. Both players had a hot start to the season, with Gomez winning her first four individual matchups and Giddings emerging victorious in her first six of the spring
• Giddings has a team best three doubles wins as well, splitting time playing alongside Sophia Adams and Tayah Cross. She is 3-2 in doubles matches against non-conference pairings this year, competing solely against opponents' top duo
THE MOUNTAINEERS
• The combination of senior Sandra Anglesjo and sophomore Helena Jansen has gone 6-2 in doubles play this year, playing all competitions as the No. 2 pairing. Their 5-1 record in Sun Belt play ranks third in the conference among teams with at least two matches played at the No. 2
• Jansen leads the Mountaineers with six singles wins, splitting time at the third, fourth and fifth seeds. She is tied with Anglesjo for a team-high of eight wins in doubles as well
THE BUCCANEERS
• The Bucs sit atop the Southern Conference with a 3-0 record, already defeating Mercer, Samford and Wofford. Those teams finished seventh, fourth and third in the 2019 SoCon regular season standings
• ETSU is the only team in the conference that has five different players that are an undefeated 3-0 at five different seeds in conference play. Laylo Bakhodirova is 3-0 at the No. 2, Andrea Pascual-Larrinaga is 3-0 at the No. 3, Emilia Alfaro is 3-0 at the No. 4, Maria Carvajal is 3-0 at No. 5s and Yunuen Elizarraras is 3-0 at the No. 6
