HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- The Spartans will be looking for their first win in SoCon play this Sunday after falling to ETSU to begin the conference season, but are less than week removed from shutting out a currently unbeaten NC State side
-- The Catamounts had a hot start to their own SoCon schedule, earning a 3-0 clean sheet victory over VMI at home. That win ended a run of back-to-back 1-0 losses against Liberty and Davidson

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- Center back Ashley Avelino has played every minute of the Spartans' three matches to start the season. Her ninth minute goal against ETSU on Friday marked the defender's first at the collegiate level
-- Hannah Morton got her first points as a Spartan on Friday, delivering the set piece cross that was finished off by Avelino, for her first assist in blue and gold
-- Goalkeeper Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week this past Tuesday after delivering a three-save shutout against State. The clean sheet was a full team effort however, with the Spartan defense keeping 17 of the Wolfpack's 20 attempts from reaching target

SCOUTING WESTERN CAROLINA
-- WCU already has two clean sheets on the year, opening the season with a 1-0 overtime victory over Charlotte. The side currently holds a 0.50 goals against average on the year and allowed the Keydets just four attempts at goal on Friday
-- Seniors Maryanne Kilgore and Regan Ward are tied for a team lead with two goals and four points on the season. Kilgore delivered the overtime marker against the 49ers, while Ward secured a brace against VMI

SERIES HISTORY
-- The Spartans are 22-3-3 against WCU all-time, standing undefeated against the side in their past nine meetings (8-0-1)
-- UNCG has lost in Cullowhee just once, and that was back in 2001. The Catamounts are 1-11 when hosting the Spartans on their home turf all-time
