GREENSBORO, N.C. - After celebrating senior day with a win over Mercer this past Wednesday, UNCG women's tennis will close out the 2021 spring season at Richmond this weekend, competing with the Spiders in a 12:30 p.m. first serve on Saturday.

MATCHUP HISTORY
• The Spartans and Spiders have met just four times since 2012, with Richmond holding a 3-1 advantage over UNCG in that span

• Senior Brianna Gomez delivered the match-deciding victory against Mercer's top individual, gaining her seventh singles win of 2021 in straight sets
• The Spartans grabbed the doubles point against the Bears, thanks in part to a win on court one from Sophia Adams and Hanna Giddings. The pair have won their last two matches playing alongside one another and have a team-high four doubles wins as a duo

• Senior Dessi Zlateva leads the Spiders with a 7-1 record in singles play this year. She is an undefeated 1-0 at the No. 1 seed and 6-1 at the No. 2
• Sara Salemyr and Andrea Campodonico have combined for a 6-2 record in doubles play this spring, playing all of their matches as the No. 2 pairing
