Hailey Joy,
Sara Rydman,
Tara Bettle, and
Victoria Cook named to the 2020-21 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team Monday afternoon.
Rydman and Bettle are repeat members of this prestigious All-Scholar Team.
A total of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade point average is 3.50.
Joy, Rydman and Bettle all appeared in six events and played 17 rounds while Cook competed in five events and played 14 rounds during the 2020-21 campaign.
In earning All-Southern Conference honors, Bettle finished the season ranked third in the conference with a 73.59 stroke average and a first-place tournament finish under her belt.
She placed among the top three in three different events this year and shot a low-round 68 at the Pinehurst Women's Intercollegiate on March 28, where she claimed the individual gold and earned an automatic place in the North & South Women's Amateur Championship. Bettle had three top two finishes
Joy had an average of 76.59 and shot a season-best round of 72 at the Southern Conference championship. She had three top 25 finishes this past season, including an efforts in which she tied for 11th at the Pinehurst Women's Intercollegiate and tied for 12th overall at the Strutter Gus Invitational.
Rydman averaged 77.07 and had a season-best round of 73 at the Southern Conference championship. She was tied for 13th overall at the SoCon championships. Rydman finished among the top 25 in her final three tournaments.
Cook averaged 82.43 and had a season-best round of 75 at the Pinehurst Women's Intercollegiate.
