GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Volleyball team looks to continue one of its best starts in program history this Friday and Saturday at the UNCW Hampton Inn & Suites Landfall Classic. The best start in program history is 1994 when the Spartans started the season 9-2. UNCG will go head-to-head with Campbell, Jacksonville, and UNC Wilmington.

ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans are coming off a 3-0 sweep of the George Mason Tournament where they defeated Coppin State, Marist, and George Mason. The Spartans only lost one set during the entirety of the tournament.
- UNCG needs one more win to have the best start in program history. The current best start is 9-2 from the 1994 team.
- As a team, the Spartans have a total of 663 digs this season, ranking eighth in the nation and first in the Southern Conference. Four Spartans have 100+ digs this season; Jenna Wiggs (137), Kayla White (133), Gabriela McHugh (112), and Amanda Garvens (101).
- Jenna Wiggs is on the cusp of hitting 1,000 career digs. She needs one more to hit the milestone.
- UNCG is in the top 35 of team assists in the nation, currently sitting at 31 with 449. McHugh has dished out 399 of them.
- The Spartans are 12th in the nation is team kills with 516. Kayla White is the only player with over 100. She has 144 on the season. They are also 17th for service aces with 71.
SCOUTING THE CAMELS
- Campbell is coming off an 0-3 weekend at the C of C Classic. The Camels fell in four sets to Florida A&M to open the tournament on Friday night.
- The following day included a five-set loss to Davidson and a four-set loss to Charleston. Of the nine sets lost, eight were decided by four points or fewer. Three sets were decided by the minimum two points.
- Melody Paige was named to the all-tournament team after notching 35 kills on .475 hitting on the week. Paige has now been named all-tournament all three weekends this season.
- Despite the losses, a handful of Camels notched statistical career highs: Claranne Fletcher: 31 digs vs Davidson, Emily Mitter: 28 assists vs Davidson, Chloe Cook: 18 kills vs Davidson and six service aces vs Davidson, Melody Paige: 17 kills vs Davidson, Lailah Green: 3 assists vs Davidson.
SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
- Jacksonville is coming off a 0-3 loss against USF on Saturday in the Dolphin Classic.
- Kelsey Cami is the lone Dolphin to have 100+ kills on the season. She has a total of 111. Brianna Jackson led the team against the Bulls with eight kills.
- Camryn Honn is Jacksonville's go-to setter. She has dished out 293 assists this season.
- Isa Dostal leads the Dolphins in blocks this season. She has a total of 20. Following her is Barbora Romancova (17) and Brianna Jackson (14).
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
- The Seahawks are coming off a two-match loss against Radford and Coastal Carolina last Saturday.
- Against Radford, Brianna Haggerty paced the Seahawks with 14 kills and hit an even .400 on the match.
- Katie Lanz added 11 kills and Annabell Schall finished with a season-high 27 assists.
- UNCW is 1-7 on the season.
