GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer program begins a three-game homestand when it hosts Radford.
 
The Spartans enter this contest encouraged after a pair of solid road outings in which they posted a pair of clean sheets. They beat Winthrop, 6-0, and tied Virginia, 0-0. The Spartans are clicking just in time as Southern Conference competition heats up soon.
 
This will be UNCG's fifth home match this season and fourth against a Big South Conference opponent this season.
 
A LOOK AT UNCG
  • UNCG has received goals from eight different players this season led by Theo Collomb's five. He has 11 points. Both marks lead the Southern Conference.
  • Joey Skinner leads the SoCon in game-winning goals with two.
  • Angel Bacho leads the Spartans with two assists.
  • Overall, 10 different players have at least one assist this season.
  • Sophomore goalie Niclas Wild has three clean sheets this season and eight for his career.
  • UNCG is 0-1-1 in overtime this season.
  • The last time UNCG played consecutive matches was last year against Mercer and Furman on March 13 and 20, respectively. The Spartans tied Mercer and lost to Furman.
  • UNCG is 2-1 against the Big South this season, defeating Winthrop and Gardner-Webb and falling to Campbell.

  • Octavio Ocampo was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Week on August 30.
  • Radford has defeated Concord (9-0) and VMI. The Highlanders dropped contests to ETSU and Liberty.
