GREENSBORO, N.C. – After finishing its non-conference slate with the best start in program history, the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team (11-2) will open its conference plate with matches against Chattanooga (4-9) and ESTU (4-7).

ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- After being picked to finish last, UNCG is heading into SoCon play at the top of the conference. The 11-2 Spartans have already had a record-breaking season.
- As a team, UNCG sits at the top of all statistical categories except service aces, where they are second.
- Gabriela McHugh is first in the Southern Conference and fourth in division one for total assists this season. Through 13 matches, the junior has a total of 501 assists.
- With 185 kills, Kayla White is tied for 17th in DI volleyball in total kills this season and averages 3.88 per set.
- Middle hitter Hannah Knier is fourth in the SoCon in blocks. She has a total of 50.0 with an average of 1.09 per set.
SCOUTING THE MOCS
- UTC is led by Maia Rackel who is hitting .254 with 3.29 kills per set. Her 168 kills this season is second among Southern Conference players.
- UTC is averaging 15.41 digs per set and 2.09 blocks per set. Marcelle Baez-Carlo and Coniah Davis are leading the blocking efforts with 60 and 41, respectively.
- Gylian Finch started off her fourth season as a Moc with back-to-back double doubles. Last weekend, she was named to the Southern Miss Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 3.67 kills per set and 2.67 digs/set.
- Paige Gallentine has started every match as the Mocs' libero. After a stellar freshman season, she's averaging 4.49 digs per set with 229 this season.
SCOUTING THE BUCS
- Jasannah Vazquez leads the Bucs in kills on the season with 125. She is one of two players to have over 100 kills. Jenna Forster has 107.
- Caroline Dykes is ETSU's go-to setter. Dykes has dished out 343 assists this season so far.
- Laundyn Coffman and Asia Mattress are leading the Bucs in solo blocks. Coffman has six, while Mattress has five.
- Sara Esposito is the only Buc with double digit aces. She leads with 12 this season.
- ETSU is entering conference play with a 4-7 overall record.
