GREENSBORO, N.C. – The non-conference tests continue for the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team.
The Spartans will hit the road for the third time this season when they battle a tough Coastal Carolina team receiving votes in the national polls. Both teams are ranked in their respective regional polls. UNCG is ninth in the South and Coastal Carolina is eighth in the Southeast.
TERRIFIC THEO
- Theo Collomb had a week most people dream of by scoring five goals and handing out two assists.
- Collomb scored two goals in the Spartans' 3-1 victory over No. 2 Clemson last Tuesday. Clemson entered the game with six straight shutouts and one goal allowed. It was Clemson's first loss.
- The sophomore midfielder capped off his week with his first-career hat trick in a 7-0 win over VMI. He scored all three of his goals and collected both assists in the first half.
- He is tied for the national lead in goals scored with 11.
- Collomb has scored at least two goals in a match four times this season (Stetson, Winthrop, Clemson, and VMI).
- He has 19 career goals.
- Collomb leads the nation in goals per game (1.38), points per game (3.12), goals (11), and points (25). He is third in the NCAA in game-winning goals (3) and eighth in shots per game (2.25).
