Boyce and Truesdale Wrap Up Play at Phoenix Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team wrapped up individual play in the Elon Phoenix Invitational at Alamance Country Club as B.J. Boyce and Parker Truesdale completed their 54-hole competition.

Boyce carded two birdies as he finished his final round four-over-par (75) on the par-71, 6,867-yard course. The freshman finished strong on the back nine, carding both birdies on a three-hole stretch late in his round. Boyce posted a birdie on the par-four, 411-yard 15th hole, the fifth-hardest hole of the tournament. The freshman responded after a bogey on the 16th hole with his second birdie on the par-five, 506-yard 17th. The late surge kept Boyce under par for the tournament, posting a 54-hole score of one-under-par (212), just one stroke off the top-25.

Truesdale moved up six spots on the leaderboard with his best effort of the tournament with a two-over-par (73). The redshirt-junior's round stayed mostly consistent as he posted a par on all but two holes. Starting his round on the tenth tee, Truesdale shot even par (35) on his final nine holes, carding all pars to finish out his round with a total score of 233.
