CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) dropped a Southern Conference (SoCon) to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 3-0, on Friday evening at Maclellan Gym with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, 25-22.

How it Happened
The Mocs scored seven-straight points to open the match. The Spartans came within six twice, 10-4, before Chattanooga ran with the frame and ended on a five-point run to hold its largest lead of the set of 15, 25-10. The Mocs' .407 hitting percentage during the first set was the best of the match.

Chattanooga once again dominated the second set and began the frame with a 7-1 lead. After three-straight points from UNCG for a five-point deficit, 7-12, Chattanooga went on another 7-1 run for an 11-point advantage, 19-8. The Mocs finished out the frame with a 6-1 run for another 25-10 set victory.

UNCG saw its first lead of the match in the third set. The Spartans had a four-point advantage, 8-4, before Chattanooga tied the set at 14, but UNCG prevailed. Four-straight points put the Spartans back on top, 18-14. Seven-straight points from the Mocs gave them their first lead of the third set, 21-18. UNCG tied the frame at 21 before Chattanooga went on a 4-1 run to secure the final set, 25-22.

By the Numbers
- UNCG's best hitting percentage in a set came in the third set where the Spartans hit .265.
