GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team will be busy this weekend. The Spartans sandwich a pair of home games around a trip to sixth-ranked Wake Forest.
UNCG will host Gardner Webb on Friday at 2 p.m. and Davidson on Sunday at 12 p.m. The Spartans will then make the short trip west to meet Wake Forest on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Nico Grewe said. "There will be lots of tennis to be played against some good opponents. Weekends like this are always good because they allow you to get a good feel for your game and make changes day after day. Getting to play ranked teams is always fun, it's even more fun to go out and play some good tennis and see how good we can all be."
A Look At UNCG (2-4)
- UNCG enters this weekend following a 5-2 victory over Fairfield.
- This will be UNCG's first matches on campus this spring.
- Hugh Knapp has won three of his last four matches at No. 3 singles.
- Other winners against Fairfield were Grewe (No. 1 singles), Andrew Zuckerman (No. 2), Roger Rogowski (No. 4) and Cooper Wyett (No. 6).
- Against UNCW, the Spartans got victories from their No. 1 tandem of Rogowski and Zuckerman and No. 3 duo of Knapp and Cooper Wyett.
A Look At Gardner Webb (4-5)
- Gardner Webb has defeated the following programs: Belmont-Abbey, Lees-McRae, Lenoir Rhyne, and Wofford.
- The Bulldogs last played on Saturday, Feb. 12 when it dropped a 5-2 decision to Kennesaw State.
- Alex Lepine was named the Big South Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.
- Lepine is 5-2 overall on the season in singles matches.
- In the win over Kennesaw, the Bulldogs' No. 2 doubles team of Connor Enslin and Sebastian Harris were victorious.
- Eduardo Diaz is 5-1 at No. 4 singles for Gardner Webb.
A Look At Wake Forest (15-4)
- Wake Forest is 13-0 at home.
- Eduardo Nava, Filippo Moroni, Taha Badi, and Melios Efstathiou lead the Demon Deacons with nine singles victories each.
- Wake Forest went 2-1 last weekend at the ITA National Indoor Team Championships in Seattle.
- The Demon Deacons beat Georgia and Texas and lost to Ohio State.
- Wake Forest's doubles tandem of Ben Draper and Robert Maciag is ranked 19th in the country.
- Moroni is ranked 35th in the country.
A Look At Davidson (2-3)
- Davidson plays North Carolina Central on Friday afternoon.
- In its last match, it fell 5-2 to Presbyterian.
- William Clark and Juan Camilo Perez Gongora picked up a 6-2 decision on court three to start off doubles play strong against the Blue Hose.
- Davidson clinched the doubles point behind Maxwell Kachkarov and Nico Pinzon at No. 2.
- Davidson owns victories over Wingate and Gardner-Webb.
- Brooks Green and Alejandro Solares lead the Wildcats with three wins each.
